first GP appointment

found a GP that does antenatal shared care at a bulk billing medical centre and booked in the first appointment.

weight today is 46.7kg

got sent off for hcg bloods... no ultrasound though?

GP said if i'm sure of my LMP dates and the pregnancy test is positive then mostly likely is pregnant. and the hcg bloods can confirm the pregnancy. erm... i thought ultrasound is the guarantee confirm method? maybe the standard procedures are different here in oz?

anyway after a bunch of history taking, my tentative EDD is 24 Sept 2017 and currently in week 5 pregnancy based on LMP dates

have been feeling quite tired lately, have been taking naps in the afternoon which i usually don't do... 

new beginnings in 2017

So we are onto our 5th year of marriage.
Decided to expand our family this year and try to conceive.

On Friday the 13th of Jan, I had a dream of Minguk smiling and laughing and running towards me, so cute, I tried to carry him but he was soooo heavy in my dream and I couldn't manage to lift him up. In the end I just had to settle with hugging him. That day I suspected that I may be pregnant as my body was feeling different. I started feeling really tired randomly during the day, sore breasts and there was some abdominal cramping sort of like a stomach upset....and the most telling of all, implantation spotting.

Over the next few days my acne started to appear and on some days also had some queasy feeling to my stomach. The slight abdominal cramping and sore breasts continued. The abdominal pain is almost always on my left side and I'm quite certain implantation was on the left side of the uterine wall lining. We shall see when it's time for the scan.

We finalized baby names on 18th Jan lol... yup, before i even took the pregnancy test. So... if we are having a boy he shall be 'Atlas' and if we are having a girl she shall be 'Athena'. Baby's nickname will be 'Atty' :)

Anyway so on Thursday 19th Jan I decided to take the pregnancy test although it was still 2 days before my estimated period onset because i couldn't wait anymore haha. I was prepared to get a negative result if my hcg levels had not risen sufficiently yet. But that was undue worry on my side.... Within 1+ minute, the test indicated "pregnant". K was with me in the toilet and I just shouted 'I knew it!'

Subsequently the week's indicator stated "2-3". That doesn't seem too accurate. According to my calculation its at most 1.5-2weeks. unless the weeks is calculated from LMP?

Oh well, scheduled to see gp next Tuesday!
