Cooking attempt and more Catan

 
attempted to make heart-shaped egg rolls with King that was inspired by this youtube video:

i would say the final product was 80% successful... a little lopsided looking hearts and not compact enough. also quite a bit of wastage at the sides of the egg roll that couldn't form the heart shape. but it looks cute.

initially it was supposed to be a romantic couple activity, but 2 people in the kitchen didn't work out too well :( sighs




in the afternoon King really wanted to play Catan again, but the parents went out to the Sunday market to get groceries so he brought in fatty as a player lol (Catan needs a minimum of 3 players). that was quite funny... fatty never seemed to want to trade or build anything on the board hahaa, only collected resources and had resources taken away from him... tsk tsk tsk. and i won the game again hahaa...

 

later in the afternoon we played Catan as a family again, this time making sure to follow the rules... we are more familiar with the rules today but it still took about 2 hours! but this time King won! very close fight between King and daddy... both had about 9 points and King managed to win one step ahead~

and King really likes Catan... he downloaded the app version and has been playing it all night haha. i feel that it's more fun to play the boardgame version though as it's the interaction and dynamics of the group that makes it interesting.. on the app you are just playing against computer programmed players...
