Selections time: Beaumont Tiles and Carrera Kitchens

2 selections appointments today!

the previous day we already shortlisted color themes so we had a guide when choosing tile patterns/colors to match the overall theme.

tile selection at Beaumont Tiles at 9am was pretty straightforward, we only had to decide upon a cool or warm tone for the bathrooms... good thing was that the floor tiles we chose had matching wall tiles. we went with the same tiles for the laundry. then the kitchen splashback was pretty similar to the bathroom color theme. and the outdoor tiles was pretty much what we shortlisted with dad and mum. and i didn't know the grout color could be selected too! that's good which ensures that the color contrast between the tiles and grout won't be too drastic. definitely need to remember to get a grout sealer to prevent discoloration of the grout. we also got to take samples of the tiles we selected, which turned out to be really useful later.

although the selection was quite straightforward overall it still took about 1.5hours with all the paperwork etc. we were done around 10:30am and headed back home to feed Honey her lunch before our next selections appointment at 11:30am with Carrera Kitchens.

the appointment with Carrera Kitchens was much more complicated with extensions to the kitchen island, countertops, overhead cupboards etc... once again it was calls and messages with mum and dad haha. then we also upgrades to our bathroom vanity and walk in closet so spent a signifiant amount of time discussing options. then of course choosing the colors for the countertops and cabinet doors. good thing we brought along the samples of the floor and wall tiles from Beaumont Tiles so we could put all the colors together to determine if the colors will harmonize! we spent a good 3 hours at Carrera Kitchens, super draining!
